Landscaping projects go sideways when nobody's clear on what's being built, when, and for how much. We run every project the same honest way, from a first phone call to the final walk-through.
1. Site Walk
Every project starts with Sawyer walking your property in person — not a phone estimate, not a satellite-photo guess. Soil conditions, drainage, slope, sun exposure, and what you actually want out of the space all get looked at before a number gets attached to anything. This is also where we'll flag anything that might need a permit or affects timeline, so there are no surprises once work starts.
2. Written Quote
After the site walk, you get a written quote — not a verbal ballpark that changes once work begins. It covers scope, materials, and price based on what your specific lot needs, not a flat per-square-foot rate that ignores your soil or site access. If something in the scope changes once we're into the project, we talk to you about it before proceeding, not after.
3. Scheduling
Once you sign off, we schedule the work around your timeline and the season the project actually needs. Some work — sod, spring cleanup — has real seasonal windows tied to soil temperature and growing season, not just our calendar availability. We'll tell you honestly if your preferred start date lines up with the right window for the work, and if it doesn't, why.
4. Build
This is where the site-walk homework pays off. Base depth, drainage, compaction — the parts that don't show once the project is finished — get built to the spec we quoted, not a shortcut version. You deal with the same crew and the same point of contact throughout; nothing gets handed off to a different team partway through.
5. Walk-Through
When the work is done, we walk the finished project with you before calling it complete. That's the time to point out anything that doesn't match what was quoted, ask questions about maintenance, or flag a detail you want adjusted. We'd rather fix something on the walk-through than have you notice it a month later.
One Point of Contact, Start to Finish
You deal with Sawyer from the first site walk to the last sweep — no sales rep who hands you off to a project manager you've never met, no separate crew lead who wasn't part of the original conversation. The person who quotes the job is the person who's accountable for it.
